Karen Batsch - Ottawa, ON

"I used to be a runner, but some time ago my doctor ordered me to stop running due to a badly damaged knee. I was terribly depressed upon receiving this news! Having been informed that I should only pursue non-weight-bearing activities, I purchased a Lifecycle® exercise bike and a ParaBody gym system. Goodbye depression, hello new workout routine! The Lifecycle exercise bike surprised me with the amazingly good workout that it provides. Using a combination of an aerobic workout on my Lifecycle bike (45 minutes) and a strength workout on the ParaBody home gym (45 minutes), I now workout for 1 1/2 hours per day 6 days per week and have never felt better about my health and my body. Your products have truly enhanced my life!"

Joy Torgerson - Delray Beach, FL

"Life Fitness has won me over. I purchased the new Life Fitness T9i Treadmill and it rocks! This was a major purchase for me. I couldn't really afford it, but I also couldn’t afford to not have it. I live in Florida, and the gym that I joined only has treadmills from companies other than Life Fitness. Unfortunately, these treadmills give me shin splints, and I just can't run on them as long as I can my cushy Life Fitness treadmill. I love to run and I owe it to Life Fitness that I am able to. This treadmill is fairly large, and space might be a limiting factor for some people. But, if you are an exercise freak like me, you make room for it. Mine sits in my dining room. Yes, my dining room! My living room has been turned into a gym with a ParaBody Smith System and a ParaBody Body System. I’ve removed my couch and only have room for a TV that sits on my kitchen counter. Life Fitness is a brand that I will tell my friends about and feel confident that they, too, will be as impressed as I am."

Lisa Rainsberger (Former Boston Marathon Winner) - Colorado Springs, CO

"12 years ago this month I purchased a Life Fitness treadmill.  This morning as I ran before my kids woke up I thought about writing a testimonial to Life Fitness.

I was living in Seattle at the time I bought my treadmill training for the 1992 Marathon Olympic Trials and I needed a way to train when the weather was lousy.  Well, 12 years later, two kids and three moves, I still use my treadmill several times a week.

I am no longer a professional athlete (I am the last American woman to win the Boston Marathon) however, I do have a web based coaching company and I often use my treadmill to conduct Field Tests to determine athlete Blood Lactate Levels.  In other words, my treadmill has been a very reliable and trusting friend to me the past 12 years and I just wanted someone at Life Fitness to know."
- Lisa Rainsberger (formerly Lisa Weidenbach)

Chris Bergland (Ultramarathoner) - New York, NY

"I started running on treadmills in 1988, when I was 22.  I have kept them at the core of my training for 5k's, 10k's,  marathons, Ironmans, Triple Ironmans and Ultramarathons. From the beginning I realized that treadmill running made me a better runner for 3 main reasons:

1. Biomechanically I was able to work on my form and really carved the grooves of muscle memory that  made me an efficient runner and helped me work on perfecting a technically correct gate which keeps me injury free.

2. The treadmill was my secret weapon for speedwork and tempo runs because you can set the speed high and just stay on versus having to push yourself outside to maintain really high thresholds (which is hard when you're by yourself or without a coach).

3. The treadmill has kept me injury free in the short term and the long run because the FlexDeck absorbs so much of the impact on my joints. I have done 80% of my running on treadmills over the past 16 years. I have no knee pain and the cartilage in my knees/back shows no sign of wear and tear - which is amazing considering the amount of volume I put in. I usually run about 70 miles a week (50 indoors/20 outside).  Over the past 10 years I have run over 25,000 miles (once around the world!) on Life Fitness treadmills.

In all those years, I have never had a machine jam or stop mid workout--even at speeds of 11-12mph the treadmills have always held up to the stress I put on them. I have total faith in these machines--whether I'm doing a long, slow 30 mile training run, hill work, speed work...the Life Fitness Treadmill will handle the load. The belt has no slip and the FlexDeck gives the perfect blend of 'pop' and absorption--once you experience running on the FlexDeck you can't use anything else."
